America is not perfect. I know that personally having been living in America throughout all of my adult life. I am a proud Asian and an equally proud American, I am an Asian-American. I am not perfect and I will never be perfect. Only God. However, I have always strive my best to be a good person and to be a better man than I was yesterday.
There is no room for hatred and racism in the United States. It should not be tolerated and under no circumstances. Please read our additional comment about this subject on our "Call-To-Action" page titled "Affirmative Action - Deceptive Practices."
We, as collective Americans, could never sit down and have a truthful and realistic conversation about race until each one of us can truly and honestly look inside of ourselves in defining of who and what we are, and more importantly of why we are here. If we are honest to ourselves of why, and only then, we all can sit down and have that very important and open conversation about race. The blame game also needs to stop immediately on all sides. We all have to look deep inside ourselves to find and to accept our strengths and weaknesses, and to be willing to share, understand, and to learn from each others. We all have to come to face to face with our truths and secrets that we have been hiding deep inside our closets.
America is slowly dying with racism and our racial wounds are too deep for us to keep patching band aids on them as we have been doing for decades, it did not work and it will not work. We have to stop denying it and we have to accept it for what it truly is. We have to stop the bleeding now before its too late.
We had declared: the "War on Drugs", the "War on Poverty" then "War on Terror," just to name a few. Now, let's all of us stand united in declaring the "War on Racism." Racism is our common enemy, unless we define it, own it, and declare war on it, it will not go away anytime soon. There is no magic or silver bullet to end this war on racism, it will take generations of us uniting and allot of hard work for us to defeat this common and very dangerous enemy that has been taking untold amount of innocent lives for decades. Undoubtedly, this will be America's longest war and one of America's most important war, because this war on racism will surely define who are as Americans and as our American society as a whole.
There will always be racism and prejudice in the United States, as it is throughout the world, as long as there are people living on this earth. We could never completely end it, together we can only eradicate much of it.
People are not perfect.
We are not perfect.
None of us are perfect.
All lives matter, life matters, regardless of your race, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, etc. We are all in this fight together as one, "E Pluribus Unum" ("out of many, one").
